The Korean Society of Marine Design and Asia Design Week have officially partnered to jointly promote academic exchanges in Korean design and art design exchanges at Asia Design Week.
Recently, the Korean Society of Marine Design and Asia Design Week officially announced a strategic partnership aimed at advancing research in marine design and fostering exchanges and development in the field of Asian art and design. Additionally, the Chairman and Vice Chairman for the Korea region of Asia Design Week have been appointed.
The Korean Society of Marine Design (KSMD) was established in August 2014, focusing on the field of "marine design." By integrating various marine sectors and design activities, KSMD aims to promote academic development. The association actively encourages academic activities in marine design in Korea, with the goal of becoming a global center for marine design. Currently, KSMD is advancing the "JMDR Marine Design Studies" centered on marine design, and publishes academic journals based on this research. KSMD provides a platform for academic exchange and communication with its members through biannual journal submissions, aiming to strengthen the association and promote academic growth through these activities.
Asia Design Week (ADW), organized by the Asia Design Week Committee, is an international design exhibition and event held annually at the end of the year. It aims to promote exchange and development in the fields of Asian art and design. Events such as the "Asia Emerging Art and Design Exchange Exhibition," held during ADW, gather outstanding works from Asia and around the world, showcasing the development of Asian culture and the creative industries.
In this collaboration, KSMD will participate in ADW's series of events for the first time, with both parties co-organizing related exhibitions, academic seminars, and design competitions. Through this partnership, KSMD and ADW will create more opportunities for the integration of design disciplines and industries in Asia.
